The outpouring of support and love this past week has just been...surreal. I am really really lucky to have the friends I have. You guys are amazing...and the best friends I could ever ask for. Really.

12 Days of Christmas - Day 6: Careful"How's it going in there, boys?" Kan called out from behind the prickly branches of the pine tree that sat in her living room. She stepped down off of her stool and peeked around the corner into the kitchen.
"Fine so far, Kan-sensei," Nadare said, smiling as he turned around, a kiss-the-cook apron draped around his neck, a bowl of batter resting in his arms as he stirred it with a wooden spoon. "Of course…." He glanced over at Hajime who was doing the same with his own bowl of sugar cookie batter at the table. "We haven't turned on the oven yet…," he continued, fighting back a smile. Hajime hadn't seemed to notice the subtle jab at his ego though, as his eyes remained fixated on the baking he was doing in front of him, delicately stirring the cookie dough in perfect clockwise circles.
